Celebrating the Journey

Healing Armani~ Kristi

on April 26, 2013

I know, this post is late.  This post is difficult to write because every time I think about this, my heart breaks and tears fall.  These tears are raw and unfiltered.  They represent the  powerlessness I feel in the situation.

Let me introduce Armani, a little girl my daughter played next to in preschool for years.

Armani 1

Armani 2

Armani 3

She is very sick as she has Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML), which the doctors discovered as she started kindergarten. Since then, Armani has been a warrior battling pneumonia and cancer for months. Recently, she was sent home with the expression “there is nothing more we can do” trying to dictate her fate.

Today, I ask you: if you ascribe to a faith, please pray for a miracle. If you don’t, please send up positive thoughts and/or healing energy her way. While you may not know the sparkle in Armani’s eyes or the compassion and sweetness of her disposition, she is a baby in our village. It is the village’s responsibility to pray for the next generation and it is time to lift this baby up in prayer!

If you are willing, please pray that Armani and her body be restored to health and wholeness. May Armani’s family and friends be filled with the gentle and soft strength of God’s grace. May the Holy Spirit fill their hearts with the peace that surpasses all human understanding. May miracles – big and small – abound.  And so it is!  Amen.
